FAQ

Common wedding bar questions.

What's included in a wedding bar package?

Professional bartender(s), portable mobile bar, glassware, ice service, professional tools, and full setup plus breakdown. You supply the beverages; we can also help coordinate purchasing through the Stock List.

How many bartenders do we need for our wedding?

It depends on your guest count and your bar menu, not on a fixed ratio. As planning guidance for 3–4 hours of service: up to 50 guests, 1 bartender; 51–75 guests, 1–2; 76–100 guests, 2; 101–150 guests, 2–3 for beer, wine, and ready-to-drink service, or 2–4 when the menu is cocktail- or mocktail-led; 151–200 guests, 2–5 and 2–6; 201–300 guests, 3–7 and 3–9. Weddings staff slightly higher than other events at the same guest count. If you are adding a flair performer, that is a dedicated entertainer on top of the pouring team. The Smart Staffing Calculator recommends a bartender count from your guest count, service hours, beverage menu, and event type. Above 75 guests it recommends at least two.

Can you create signature cocktails for our wedding?

Yes. Bartenders develop personalized signature cocktails based on your preferences, theme, or favorite flavors. Recipe cards can be provided so guests can recreate the drinks later.

Do you coordinate with our wedding planner?

Yes. Captain Service bartenders coordinate directly with wedding planners, venue staff, and other vendors to align with the event timeline.

What happens if it rains at our outdoor wedding?

Bartenders bring weather contingency equipment and work with you and your venue on a weather contingency plan for the bar.
