In-app tips carry no platform fee, so you receive the full tip amount. Tips are not included here. No taxes are withheld. Captain Service coordination fees are paid in addition to your base bartender rate.

Smart Staffing Calculator

The Smart Staffing Calculator recommends a bartender count from your guest count, service hours, beverage menu, and event type. It recommends at least two above 60 guests when the menu includes cocktails or mocktails, and above 125 guests on any menu.

Identity verification

Every bartender must pass Government-ID identity verification through Stripe Identity to be paid through bartendersNow™. We do not conduct background checks.

Cancellation

Refunds on a documented timeline.

If you cancel 14 or more days before your bartender’s scheduled arrival, you receive a full refund, including the Captain Service fee. Between 7 and 14 days, you receive 50% of the bartender cost and the platform fee, and the Captain Service fee is retained. Inside 7 days, the booking is non-refundable. If your bartender cancels, you receive a full refund at any time. Full policy is in the FAQ.
