Founder, Midnight Logic, Inc.
Founder of Midnight Logic, Inc. and creator of bartendersNow™. Two decades of bar-floor experience across weddings, corporate events, and high-volume hospitality in the San Francisco Bay Area informs every algorithm, policy, and standard on the platform.
About
Kristopher founded Midnight Logic to fix a problem he had spent years working around: events were either overstaffed and over-ordered, or understaffed and out of ingredients by hour two. bartendersNow™ codifies the math he was doing on cocktail napkins — guest counts, consumption curves, package sizes, RBS rules — into proprietary algorithms that match professional bartenders to events and ship a Stock List down to the bottle.
He writes and reviews the resource library on this site, focusing on practical guidance grounded in California ABC rules, real event budgets, and what actually happens on the bar mat.

California Alcohol Service Laws for Bartenders
California requires alcohol servers and their managers to hold current Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification through the state ABC when they serve at licensed premises, which includes licensed caterers working an off-site event; private, unlicensed events are generally outside the requirement, but the venue or caterer may have its own rules. Service to anyone under 21 is prohibited under Business & Professions Code §25658.

How bartendersNow™ Works for Bartenders
bartendersNow™ is a marketplace where hosts book independent bartenders for private events through the platform. You set your own rate and keep 88% of it; hosts pay a separate 12% service fee on their side. Nothing is booked without your yes. To take bookings, you complete government-ID verification through Stripe Identity, must be 21 or older, and accept the Terms and the independent-bartender acknowledgments. Bartender signup is open; host booking has not opened yet.
